The Coeliac UK Live Well Gluten Free is only available to members of Coeliac UK as you need your Coeliac UK login details to access the app’s features.   

Although your app store may allow you to download the app, unless you have Coeliac UK membership you will not be able to log in.

The app is included within your existing membership fee. You can also sign up for Coeliac UK membership via the app, starting from £14.99 a year. The payment for this is managed by the relevant app store (Apple or Google).  

You can also signup for membership on the Coeliac UK website. If your membership has lapsed, you can also reactivate your account within the app.   

You will need WiFi, 3G, 4G or 5G connectivity to use the app.  

Our new app will be available from 4 January 2023.  

If you have auto-update enabled on your phone, then you will automatically get the new app as soon as it’s released from the relevant app stores. If you have auto-update disabled, then you will need to manually update the app.  

Please note the new app is a replacement of the current Gluten Free Food Checker. Please note that once the new app has been installed on your phone, the app image icon will be the Coeliac UK logo and the name will be Coeliac UK. 

If you already have the app downloaded then it will be on your device’s home screen, but if you have not yet downloaded the app or have recently joined Coeliac UK as a member, the new app can be found on both the Apple Store and Google Play store.

Simply visit the relevant app store on your phone and search for ‘Coeliac UK’ or ‘Live Well Gluten Free’.  

The Coeliac UK Live Well Gluten Free app is compatible with the following version of Android & iOS:   

• Android 8+  
• iOS 13+   

Our new app combines both of our old apps into one. This means that going forward our members now only need to download one app. The new app will provide a better, more integrated experience for our members and will receive many new features and developments over the coming months.  

The Crossed Grain symbol can be licensed only for multiple ingredient and/or processed products. Products cannot be licensed if they are composed of a single ingredient or are unprocessed in nature. For example, fresh fruit and vegetables cannot be licensed as they are naturally gluten free; but fruit bars can be licensed as they have undergone a process which may hold a risk for gluten contamination.
