Mita suffered with health problems as a teenager, including endometriosis and severe issues with her gut health, and spent most of her youth in and out of hospital before she was diagnosed with coeliac disease. There are still 500,000 people in the UK estimated to be living with undiagnosed coeliac disease. That’s far too many people suffering from the stress and confusion of unexplained symptoms. So this year we're continuing with our campaign 'Coeliac disease is different for everyone', for the entire month of May, so that we can find those people and get them the answers they need.

We currently have over 30 Local Groups operating across the UK, delivering local support to people with coeliac disease and those living gluten free. The Young Wolverhampton Local Group have been hosting events within their community since 2005 and recently hosted an unforgettable Easter event that brought joy and excitement to children and their families within the local area.
