Meet the researchers
Periodically, throughout the year, we will focus for a week on one research centre dedicated to gaining a better understanding of coeliac disease and gluten related conditions. We give you updates on what they’re working on, as well as a chance to ask questions of the team.
This provides you an opportunity to meet researchers from key centres around the globe who are working hard to find answers to the questions you want answered, and so that one day no life is limited by gluten.
This February we bring you the talented team at the KG Jebsen Coeliac Disease Research Centre (JCoDiRC), Norway, headed by Professor Ludvig Sollid. Their research is aimed at finding better diagnostics, identifying targets for new therapeutics and may be one day a cure!
Previously we introduced you to the super enthusiastic team in the Genetics Department of the University Hospital in Groningen, The Netherlands. If you missed the original feature it’s not too late to meet Iris Jonkers, Sebo Withoff and the team.
And over the coming months you can expect to hear from our home team in the UK, many who are or have been funded by Coeliac UK, as well as researchers in Australia, USA and more.
Check back regularly for updates!
