This September, the International Society for the Study of Celiac Disease (ISSCD) is hosting its biennial International Coeliac Disease Symposium (ICDS) in the UK for the first time ever. 

The event brings together healthcare professionals, scientists and researchers working in the field of coeliac disease to share scientific knowledge and clinical best practice and promote learning.

Coeliac UK is delighted to fund four dietitians who meet the criteria below to attend the full event, as this may be the only time the symposium takes place in the UK during the current workforce’s lifetime. 

Eligibility criteria:

• Registered dietitian working in the NHS 
• Seeing patients with coeliac disease 
• Current HCP member of Coeliac UK 
• Living and working in the UK

The symposium runs from 5-7 September 2024, in Sheffield. If you fit the criteria above, please submit your details here.  

Please then also complete the application form (downloadable from the bottom of this page) and email this separately to research@coeliac.org.uk along with your CV.

Coeliac UK will ideally select one individual from each devolved nation to attend (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland).  

If selected, you can be sponsored up to a maximum £1000 which will cover:

• Event ticket including gala dinner - £250 
• Accommodation – £300 (maximum £100/night for 3 nights) 
• Food/drinks - £135 (maximum £25/evening meal, £15/lunch, £10/breakfast)
• Travel and transport - £300 

Please note that you must be willing to work with Coeliac UK to produce content for their website and social media channels after the event (e.g. blog post, news piece, etc.)  

You will be notified about the outcome of your application by Monday 15 July 2024.
