A potted history on coeliac disease
The Coeliac Isle of Man Local Support Group would like to invite all coeliacs, anyone with gluten intolerance, their friends and family to their dinner and members meeting. It is to be held at The Famous Creg-ny-Baa, well-known for being a coeliac friendly place to eat on 24 June 2023, at 6:30pm for a 7:00pm start.
Dinner will be a two-course meal. All food will be gluten free and cooked with separate fryer and utensils, etc. so there will be no risk of cross-contamination. Places can be reserved via Eventbrite
Dinner will be followed by a members’ meeting, reporting where the charity is up to and the appointment of new committee members. Once the business is completed, Peter Cannell, the Local Group Organiser will give a talk on Bananas, Bombers & Dr Dicke. There will also be time to meet with and get to know other people within our community who have to live with the challenges of avoiding gluten in their diet.
The General Meeting will be brief with the presentation of accounts and appointment of committee members. We will be seeking nominations for the committee and ideas for future events.
We will not be charging for the meal as we would like to see as many as possible attend. However, if you would like to make a contribution towards the cost of the a donation can be made to Coeliac UK Isle of Man Voluntary Support Group (IOM Charity no.961). Our costs for the evening will be in the region of £25.00 per person.
