Collection of crumbles
We've got a wonderful selection of crumble recipes to inspire you in the kitchen, both sweet and savoury that can be enjoyed all year round. As we've got all the recipes covered, all you have to do is decide what to serve them with. Will it be a scoop of ice-cream, lashings of thick custard or a splash of cream for your crumble pub. Steamed vegetables, buttered greens or creamy mash for your savoury crumble? Our only advice is not to mix them up!
Savoury Crumble
Nicola has shared with us her own savoury take on a crumble which left us all with food envy when it made an appearance in the office for lunch this week. "This is a great way to use up any leftover veg and the addition of the butter beans adds both protein, fibre and texture to this hearty winter warming dish."
Rhubarb Crumble
Sam's rhubarb crumble pudding has added oomph in the topping, packed with nuts and spices. "It's about getting the ratio of crumble to fruit just right and adding a bit of whatever is in the cupboard to make this pudding even more delicious!"
Bramley Apple & Almond Crumble
Lorna have given us her classic apple crumble. Bramley apples are in season now (February), so a perfect time to eat. The addition of almonds gives a source a source of calcium and iron. If sensitive to gluten free oats you can omit the oatmeal and add more gluten free flour to get the correct consistency.
