Sausage and apple tray bake
This simple, yet delicious meal is perfect for those dark autumn nights when hearty comfort food is an absolute must. Give your sausages a twist with baked apple slices and new potatoes in this easy one dish recipe from Coeliac UK.

Ingredients
- 1 tbsp (15ml) olive oil
- 12 chipolatas/sausages*
- 12 new potatoes, quartered
- 3 apples, chopped into wedges
- 5 cloves of garlic
- a handful of chopped fresh sage

Method
- Add the olive oil to a baking dish and place in a preheated oven at 200°C/400°F/Gas Mark 6 for 10 minutes
- Remove from the oven and add the chipolatas/sausages to the dish and cook for 10 minutes
- While the sausages are cooking, core and slice the apples into wedges and place in a bowl. Add to the bowl the quartered new potatoes and the sage and 5 cloves of garlic which have been bruised
- Remove the sausages from the oven and add the apple and potato mix to the dish. Return to the oven and cook for around 20-30 minutes until all cooked through and golden.
