Ingredients
- 100g (3 1/2 oz) brown gluten free flour*
- 50g (1 1/2 oz) white gluten free flour*
- Pinch of gluten-free baking powder*
- Pinch of Xanthan gum
- Cold water

Method
- Place all of the ingredients into a mixing bowl, gradually adding cold water and begin mixing
- Continue adding water until the mixture turns into a soft dough
- Knead for 5 minutes then place in a covered bowl for 20minutes
- Knead again for another 3 minutes, add water if the dough becomes too dry
- Divide into 4 parts and roll each one out into a medium sized chapatti
- Ensure the flat iron pan is hot before placing the chapati onto it
- Cook for 30 seconds then turn over, cooking this side for another 30 seconds
- You can apply pressure using a tea towel if you wish
- Take the chapati off the pan and place directly onto the gas fire. Using tongs, cook the chapatti until it rises, then switch sides
- Once cooked, you can spread the chapati with butter for taste
