Macadams Bakery is recalling various types of bread because they contain milk and soya, some products also contain barley (gluten) which are not mentioned on the label. This means the products are a possible health risk for anyone with coeliac disease an allergy or intolerance to barley and/or gluten and/or milk or milk constituents and/or an allergy to soya.

The products contain milk and soya, and some contain barley (gluten), making them a possible health risk for anyone with coeliac disease an allergy or intolerance to barley and/or gluten and/or milk or milk constituents and/or an allergy to soya.
Action taken by the company
Macadams Bakery is recalling the above products from customers and has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall. The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the products. Our advice to consumers
If you have bought the above products and have coeliac diease an allergy or intolerance to barley and/or gluten and/or milk or milk constituents and/or an allergy to soya, do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.
