Asda recalls ASDA Chicken Dinners because of undeclared allergens

Asda is recalling ASDA Chicken Dinners because the product contains milk, egg and barley (gluten), which are not mentioned on the label. As a result of a packaging error, some packs contain ASDA Beef Dinners. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents and/or egg and/or barley (gluten). It is also a possible health risk for anyone with coeliac disease, due to the presence of barley.

Action taken by the company

Asda is recalling the above product from customers. The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product. Please see attached notice.

Our advice to consumers

If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents and/or egg and/or barley (gluten), do not eat it.
