Introducing the ultimate gluten free Mother’s Day experience

We could all use more moments of joy with our loved ones, which is why, this Mother’s Day, we’re introducing a new recipe experience.

The first in a new series of interactive recipe experiences, it’s designed to help you celebrate Mother’s Day with the special person in your life. Everyone can get involved, no matter your age, whether you’re celebrating together or virtually.

And what better gluten free treat to launch our recipe experiences with than the delicious scone? The recipe is super simple to make and budget friendly too, costing just 11p per scone (but who has only one?).

How does it work?

Simply head over to our Mother’s Day page, where you’ll find everything you need for the special day.

In a recent survey, you told us that you love searching for cakes and bakes on our Home of Gluten Free Recipes and that it’s important that they’re easy to follow. That’s why on the page, you’ll find a how to recipe video and printable recipe card to help your experience go as smoothly as possible.

The recipe is perfect for making with children, and you’ll also find printable templates for a Mother’s Day card, invitation and chef’s hat to keep the little ones entertained.

So what are you waiting for? Head over to our Mother’s Day page to get started.

“I’m celebrating virtually – how can I get involved?”

We know it might not be possible to see those special people at the moment, but who doesn’t like getting deliveries, especially freshly baked gluten free scones? So if you live locally, why not decoratively wrap the gluten free scones, and during your daily exercise leave them on the doorstep with some jam and clotted cream, then enjoy over a video or phone call on Mother’s Day?

If you’re not local to each other, you could share the recipe with your loved one, then get together on a video call to compare your baking efforts.

We’d love to see how your recipe experience turned out. Why not take some pictures of the little ones (or adults!) in their chef’s hats, with messy fingers, or of your special person enjoying their gluten free scones. Share your photos with us via Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, using #gfMothersDay or via email at youngchampions@coeliac.org.uk

We hope you enjoy this exciting new experience and wish you a Happy Mother’s Day from all at Coeliac UK.
