Udi's, ASDA and Tesco product recalls - may contain sesame

Udi's product recalls - may contain sesame

17 February 2016

Boulder Brands UK Ltd, Asda and Tesco are recalling certain bread products with a ‘best before’ date of 22 February 2016 or earlier, because a seed mix ingredient contained undeclared sesame seeds. Some of the products listed are known to have been manufactured with a sesame seed ingredient and others may have been cross-contaminated with it.

These products are not being recalled because of gluten; they are gluten-free and can be safely consumed by people with coeliac disease. As these products are specialist gluten-free products likely to be popular with our Members we are giving this information in case anyone buying these has an additional allergy to sesame. Also we wanted to inform you in case you notice a recall to reassure you the level of gluten is not affected.

The following products may contain sesame, which is not mentioned on the product labels, making the products a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to sesame.
