Bury Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has reduced its gluten-free prescribing policy to eight units per month (with additional units for pregnant and breast feeding women) and has now launched a consultation on potentially removing the service.

We're concerned about the possible outcome and have had a meeting with the CCG to make the case for continuing this vital service for people with coeliac disease. We've also mailed Members directly within the CCG but we need your help to make sure the needs of people with coeliac disease are understood.

Please get involved by making your voice heard. You can be part of the consultation by:

  • completing an online survey
  • getting a paper copy of the survey by calling 0161 762 3106 or by sending an email
  • sending views to the CCG website using their feedback facility: by email or by letter to NHS Bury Clinical Commissioning Group, Communications and Engagement Team (Gluten Free Prescribing), 21 Silver Street, Bury, BL9 0EN
  • or by joining a focus group on 10 November, 5.30-7pm , and 18 November, 9.30-11am
