Last week we kicked off our new initiative, ‘Research – a week in focus’ where we’ll be introducing you to researchers from key coeliac disease centres around the globe and highlighting exciting projects they’ve been working on.

Our first stop was to the Netherlands with the Genetics Department team at University Hospital Groningen. The researchers are delving into the genetics behind coeliac disease and using Gut-on-Chip technology to study potential environmental factors in coeliac disease, such as the gut microbiome.

These guys are working hard to find answers to the questions you want answered, so that one day no life is limited by gluten.
