The Daily Express has today published a piece on mountaineer Joe Simpson's story of being diagnosed with coeliac disease.

The piece highlights Joe's initial struggle to obtain a diagnosis of coeliac disease and accurately describes coeliac disease as an autoimmune condition, as well as highlighting the problem with underdiagnosis.

We hope that those reading the article who are experiencing symptoms visit their GP to ask for a test for coeliac disease so we can reach the half a million people in the UK who have not yet received a diagnosis.
