Is it coeliac disease? campaign comes to Leeds
9 June 2015
Our Is it coeliac disease? campaign was launched during our Awareness Week in May and as part of the two year campaign we're heading up and down the UK with pop up events to help spread the word even further.
Leeds is the first destination for the event, following the May pop up event in London's Southbank where our Patron Caroline Quentin officially launched our exciting campaign.
The pop up event will be situated in the heart of Leeds on Lands Lane, by WH Smith, from Monday 15 June to Friday 19 June and will then move to Wetherby Racecourse on Saturday 20 June (where our AGM is also being held).
Opening times for the stand
Monday 15 June to Friday 19 June: 10.30am – 4.30pm Lands Lane, Leeds
Saturday 20 June: 11am – 3pm Wetherby Racecourse
Experts from the Charity will be on hand to discuss symptoms and provide advice on how to get diagnosed. Testing for coeliac disease will be available at the event in Leeds (but not at Wetherby), for those found to be particularly at risk. Help and advice on living gluten-free will also be available, including the opportunity to talk to people from the local support group who have been diagnosed and are on a gluten-free diet.
For more information on the Leeds event, read our press release.
