Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale CCG prescribing consultation

Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale CCG prescribing consultation

7 March 2016

Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale CCG has launched a consultation on gluten-free prescribing, tabling an option to remove access to gluten-free food on prescription for people with coeliac disease and they are asking for your view.

Middleton and Rochdale CCG has drafted a gluten-free prescribing policy which proposes that the prescribing of gluten-free food is restricted to children aged under 16 years of age, pregnant women and breastfeeding women.  Prior to finalising the draft, the CCG is are carrying out a review asking for local people’s opinions on the prescribing of gluten-free food.

Coeliac UK will be formally responding to the consultation and we have directly contacted Members living within the CCG areas, but we need your help to make sure the needs of local people with coeliac disease are understood.

Have your say

Please get involved and get your voice heard by completing the online survey.
