Derbyshire dad Trevor Wilson runs third marathon for Coeliac UK
22 April 2016
At the Virgin Money London Marathon this Sunday, 47 year old Trevor Wilson from Derbyshire will be running to raise funds for Coeliac UK.
With training going well, Trevor is aiming to complete the 26 mile challenge in an impressive three hours. The decision to run in support of Coeliac UK was an easy one: his son, Finlay, was diagnosed with coeliac disease at the age of two. Trevor commented that: “When Finlay was diagnosed at two years old it changed our lives,” and that’s what Awareness Week is all about – freeing people from their symptoms and changing their lives for the better.
Thanks to his inspiring efforts, Trevor is aiming to raise over £400. We’re sure you’ll join us in wishing him all the best on Sunday – we are incredibly grateful for all of his hard work and dedication.
With people like Trevor out there raising awareness and funds, we can reach more undiagnosed people with coeliac disease than ever before. Want to find out what you can do? Get involved with our Awareness Week, taking place from 9-15 May or contact the Fundraising Team at fundraising@coeliac.org.uk.
