Correction to 'A focus on...' in the latest issue of eXG

13 June 2013

In the latest eXG newsletter there was an error in the reporting of the research article on Autoimmune Thyroid Disease.

Where it states “hypothyroidism is diagnosed when you have lower than normal levels of specific thyroid hormone (thyroid stimulating hormones, TSH)” - this should read “when you have higher than normal levels of TSH” and where it states “hyperthyroidism is diagnosed when you have higher than normal levels of specific thyroid hormones (TSH) in your blood” - this should read 'lower than normal levels of TSH.""
