Coeliac UK strongly opposing prescription cuts in Enfield

3 December 2015

Enfield Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has announced its proposal to cut gluten-free prescriptions for those in the area, a decision which the Charity is strongly opposing.

Coeliac UK believes cutting prescriptions for those who have been diagnosed with coeliac disease will leave vulnerable patients without support, and affect their ability to stick to the gluten-free diet.

Enfield CCG is currently consulting with local patients and carers about their views on whether to continue to supply any gluten-free foods in the area, and Coeliac UK would recommend all those who may be affected to complete the questionnaire to ensure your opinions are heard.

Complete the questionnaire and give your views. The consultation runs until 18 December.
