Coeliac UK strongly opposing gluten-free prescription cuts in Bury
18 November 2015
We are strongly opposing the proposed cuts to gluten-free prescriptions by the Bury Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), which we feel will leave vulnerable people with coeliac disease without support and could affect their ability to stick to the gluten-free diet.
Bury CCG is currently consulting with local patients and carers about their views on whether to continue to prescribe gluten-free foods for adults in the area. The consultation runs until 6 December 2015 and can be found here.
Coeliac UK encourages all those who might be affected to complete the questionnaire so their opinions can be heard.
