Coeliac UK report highlights the progress and challenges of eating out

A new report published by Coeliac UK highlights the progress in dining experiences for those living gluten free, with 67% of surveyed diners reporting better options and confidence when eating out, compared to the last five years. However, challenges remain, with 77% of responders having experienced unintentional gluten consumption, ‘glutened’.  

Coeliac UK is dedicated to supporting people living with coeliac disease and other gluten related conditions, it’s our aim to ensure coeliac disease is understood and catered for in any environment. 

The report found that 93% of gluten free diners felt more confident when eating out at venues holding the Coeliac UK Gluten Free Accreditation, which is granted through a rigorous programme of training and auditing. This unique trademark represents a venue’s commitment to meeting strict standards and supplying dishes which are gluten free.
