Coeliac UK Member Jenny Pirie takes on marathon to support the Charity
22 April 2016
In her first time running the London marathon, but sixth marathon overall, 40 year old Jenny Pirie will be raising funds for Coeliac UK.
For the running enthusiast, the choice to support our Charity was a natural one – her daughter has coeliac disease. With first-hand knowledge of how important it is to raise awareness, Jenny is aiming to raise £2000, and with £1200 already raised we feel confident she’ll reach her goal.
We’re so lucky to have supporters like Jenny and we can’t wait to cheer her on! We wish her the best of luck on Sunday in breaking her four hour target.
With the help of inspiring people like Jenny we can reach more undiagnosed people with coeliac disease than ever before. Want to find out what you can do? Get involved with our Awareness Week, taking place from 9-15 May or contact the Fundraising Team at fundraising@coeliac.org.uk.
